5 NPP Members Escape Death In Ghastly Accident

Five (5) members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) narrowly escaped death when a Toyota Camry car with registration number GR 2480-18 they were traveling in to the manifesto launch of the party at Cape Coast in the Central region was involved in an accident.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com, Lot Awuah whose car was involved in the ghastly accident and also an occupant in the vehicle explained that they left for Cape Coast on Friday evening in anticipation to reach their destination by morning.

He said after driving past Apam Junction, in a straight course of about 300 meters, a Pick Up car which was driving opposite his lane sharply overtook a VIP bus and drove straight towards him in his lane.

"I had no option but to move off the road to use the shoulders of the road and in the process a Sprinter bus hit my car from behind causing my car to summersault severally," he explained.

He explained further that some good samaritans came to their rescue and they were immediately transported to the Mankessim Hospital for treatment, but were transferred to Cape Coast teaching hospital for futher treatment.

All five of them survived but are receiving further medical attention at the 37 Military Hospital whilst the vehicle they were travelling in is badly damaged.
