Background

Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC) was established by an Act of Parliament to promote the development of an Integrated Aluminium Industry (IAI) in Ghana.

To achieve the IAI agenda of Government, GIADEC will need the buy-in and collaboration of community stakeholders within GIADEC’s operational areas.

This will allow GIADEC obtain the needed Social License to Operate.

One of several ways to achieve this is establishing high-level community dialogues on thematic issues, hence the 19-Member Committe.

This will promote transparency in all activities of GIADEC and thereby foster a safe, caring, supportive and enabling social environment for community participation in the Integrated Aluminium Industry.
