Kufuor Institutionalized MonecracyNana Addo Liberated Narcotics Queens Fifi Kwetey

Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Fifi Kwetey, has indicted ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor for instituting what he describes as monecracy in Ghanas politics; and has accused Nana Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party for Election 2012 of playing a pivotal role in supervising the liberation of some three narcotics NPP queens. Fiifi Kwetey rationalizes that the institutionalization of this grave policy (monecracy) by the former president, has led to government appointees under the Mills administration embarking on an unnecessary alms giving because the citizenry keep mounting pressure on them. He was dismissive of allegations of inducing NDC delegates with money brought up against the Mills camp pointing out that the practice is alien to the ruling party but more visibly in the opposition NPP. According to him, issues relating to morality were dumped into the gutter during Mr. Kufuors tenure as president. The single most debilitating thing NPP, has done so far as I am concerned is the extent to which they took the moral fiber of this nation, all the way down, he added. To him, the only standard the NPP set whiles in office was how much money one can make, and the number of assets and properties one can loot. The greatest harm that this nation has gone through has been the systematic eight years of moral decadent that Kufuor presided overNana Addo, became pivotal, with him, he became the man who supervised the liberation of the three narcotic queens, he said. It would be recalled that on February 4, 2002, three alleged NPP Dzorwulu executives were busted with narcotics at the Kotoka International Airport, according to a Tuesday, February 12th Daily Graphic report. They were: Abena Oforiwaa, 65 years, (Chairperson), Comfort Akua Amankwah, Organizer and Ama Nyarkoa, 55 years, Treasurer.
