Election 2020: PPP Prez Candidate, Brigette Dzogbenuku Predicts A Run-Off

Progressive People's Party (PPP) Presidential candidate, Brigette Dzogbenuku has predicted a run-off in this year's Presidential elections.

According to her, the PPP will give the two biggest political parties, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC), a tough competition in the impending elections.

She made this comment during an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on the 25th GJA Best Morning Show ''Kokrokoo'' on Peace FM.

She was of a strong view that Ghanaians are already tired of both the NPP and NDC.

"People are ready for something new. They want a change. They want to start afresh and this is what we, the PPP, are promising them."

Madam Brigette Dzogbenuku cautioned the electorates against choosing the easier option, which will be either the NPP or the NDC.

"We're uniquely placed to change the trajectory of where Ghana is going...The easier option is not what is good for Ghana. The better thing for us, Ghanaians, to face our fear and crave a change. If things must change, the best will be to vote for the PPP to change things but also change you," she forewarned.

She believed there will be a run-off because of the force that the PPP is bringing into the contest stressing ''something has got to change in this country. Where we're heading is scary and it is with fear that people are going to vote. We shouldn't vote out of fear. Ghana must progress. There has to be development and peace. We have to get a leader with compassion for all Ghanaians not his/her party. So, yes, it is an uphill task but I'm very confident that the PPP could possibly push the elections into a run-off''.

"Also see that I need to take a decision and change the way my country is going by voting wisely and voting for a leader who is coming back with values or who is coming with values of discipline, honesty, hardwork, integrity, respect for one another, discipline. We need all these back in Ghana and to get that, you're voting for Brigette Dzogbenuku and the PPP," she added.
