Ursula Owusu Ekuful Rallies Support For NPP

With 38 more days to the polls, the Minister of Communications, Mrs Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has urged supporters and sympathisers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to intensify their campaign to ensure a resounding victory in the upcoming December 7 elections.

According to her, the NPP had fulfilled almost every promise it made to the people of Ghana in 2016, key of which was the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme.

She said the party was well positioned and poised to undertake more of such programmes as well as bring development to the doorstep of every household in the country.

Mrs Owusu Ekuful made the call at a durbar of chiefs, queenmothers and people in the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency in the Ashanti Region last Tuesday as part of a four-day tour of the region.

The tour forms part of the party’s intensive campaign programme to secure another victory in the December 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections.

The minister was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and NPP parliamentary candidate for the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency, Mr Salisu Mohammed Bamba, and constituency executives including its Chairman, Mr Paul Kwaku Dut, the Communications Officer, Mr Musah Saeed, and the Women’s Organiser, Mrs Grace Ibrahim.

She said the government had laid a good foundation necessary to positively transform the country, adding that “we have all seen the developmental projects undertaken by the NPP”.

“Support us and give us another term to serve and do more for the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency. Four more for Nana, four more for Bamda,” she proclaimed as the enthusiastic supporters of the party cheered on.

She also gave an assurance that the people’s concern over the abandoned roads and poor communications network would be addressed.

Atmosphere

The visit to the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency last Tuesday was a stunning experience as the people offered the Communications Minister a tumultuous welcome.

The people, young and old, met Mrs Owusu Ekuful in their numbers on the streets of Sekyedumase and followed her into the town.

The Municipal Chief Executive and NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency, Mr Bamba, said as a Member of Parliament, his constituency saw to the successful completion of several health, education, economic, social and community development projects.

He urged the teeming supporters of the party who massed up to witness the ceremony to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Salifu Mohammed Bamba for more progress in the constituency.
