2020 Election: NDC Collation Center Was Like A 'Betting Center' - Nana B

National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has ridiculed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) over their unwillingness to accept the verdict of the 2020 Presidential elections.

The elections ended up with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo being declared President-elect by the Electoral Commission.

The party and their Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama have accused the Electoral Commission of massaging the figures to favor the President.

"We will not accept anything short of a declaration of the legitimate results which points to an NDC Parliamentary majority," John Mahama said.

While the NDC is saddened over the election verdict, Nana Boakye, during a panel discussion on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", mocked the opposition party.

He was not surprised that the NDC lost the elections saying their collation center resembled a betting center.

"When we opened up access to our collation center and you look at the gadgets and the way we were conducting our business . . . because we gave ourselves a maximum of 6 hours to get more than 80 percent of the results to know our projections and this was backed by pink sheets. The NDC opened their collation center and all we saw was they had arranged about six NASCO TVs like a betting center," he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.
