Head of Psychology at the University of Ghana, Professor Joseph Osafo has urged government to begin public education on the COVID-19 vaccines.

Prof. Joseph Osafo asked the government not to dawdle in educating Ghanaians on the need to take the vaccines so as to dispel the conspiracy theories associated with the disease vaccination.

He noted that there are some strange beliefs over the vaccination with some people struck with fear that the vaccines are injurious.

To him, the earlier the public education, the safer it will be for Ghanaians to welcome the vaccines when ready in the country.

''Government should begin that public education on the vaccine now...Just the President said we are working on it, we must also see the public education on now to allay the fears''.

He made this appeal on Peace FM's morning show ''Kokrokoo''.
