GNPC Foundation Completes 3-unit Classroom Block For Simpa Nana Ben Kwoffie Basic School

Simpa Nana Ben Kwoffie Basic School in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal of the Western Region has received keys to a new 3-unit classroom block to serve its Junior High School (JHS) class.

The facility, constructed by the GNPC Foundation under its School Infrastructure project, is expected to ease pressure on the school's existing block which hitherto served both primary and JHS classes.

During a short inspection and technical handing over ceremony, witnessed by the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Director of Education, Alex Kwaku Duah, and the Municipal Engineer, Edward Buckman, the Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah reminded the school of the need to exhibit an excellent maintenance culture to ensure longevity.

On his part, Mr. Joseph Kojo Essien, headteacher of Nana Ben Kwoffie Basic School, thanked GNPC for its developmental role in various sectors and for the school’s inclusion as a beneficiary of programmes to support deprived schools. He assured me that the facility would be properly maintained to serve the school for many years.

The 3-unit block also has an office and a storeroom to improve academic work.
