Retain Seth Oduro Boadu In Office As West Akyem MCE – NDC To Prez Akufo-Addo 

The National Democratic Congress in the Lower West Akyem #constituency of the Eastern Region has lauded the Chief Executive for the Municipality for his achievement for the past four years and urged the Minister for Local Government and the President to retain him in office for another four years.

According to the Communications Officer in the constituency, Mr. Benjamin Yamoah, the MCE, Seth Oduro Boadu, has served the people in the area wholeheartedly and through his hard work, people in the Municipality received their share of the national cake.

He appealed for the retention of the MCE in office stressing Mr. Seth Oduro deserves another term.

Mr. Benjamin Yamoah, speaking to the media, said "Seth Oduro Boadu has been the best Chief Executive the NPP has produced so far in the Municipality since 1992 and his achievements are unmatched to other Chief Executives who have served in the area under NPP`s administration."

Recounting the achievement of the MCE, Mr. Yamaoh said he (Oduro Boadu) inherited an ultra-modern 73 lockable stores started by former MCE under John Mahama administration and he did not abandoned the project but continued and completed it and it is currently opened for use.

He said the MCE started similar projects at the Asamankese lorry station and main market and have completed one while the other projects are ongoing, adding the projects have brightened the central Business center of the Municipality.

The Communications Officer further stated that although the MCE is not from his party – the NDC, he can vouch for him.

He noted that, under the leadership of Mr. Oduro Boadu, the municipality has seen the construction of many schools, health and road infrastructure over the past four years.

He cautioned Mr. Oduro Boadu’s detractors to stop their evil plans and accept the truth that he has outperformed as MCE.

Profile of Seth Oduro

Mr. Seth Oduro Boadu is currently the Treasurer of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) and he took over in April 2017 from Mr. George Mensah Akpalu who served for six years.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Sector Management in Finance (Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration -GIMPA) and the First Degree in Financial Accounting and Mathematics (University of Education, Winneba).

Also, he has worked as Chattered Pensions Analyst (University of Nairobi -Kenya) and served as National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) – National Financial Secretary for 12 years, Eastern Regional Branch of NAGRAT – Regional Financial Secretary for 4 years, West Akim Teachers Welfare Scheme – Chairman for the Audit Committee for 5 years and a former Teacher in Asamankese Senior High School as Head of the Business Department for 8 years.
