MOH Recruits Doctors, Dentists

The Ministry Of Health (MOH) would effective Tuesday, February 9, 2021, commence the recruitment of medical Doctors and Dentists into the public health service. 

The prospective recruits according to a statement issued in Accra must have completed their House Jobs. 

In the view of the statement dated February 5, 2021, and signed by Kwabena Boadu Oku-Afari, the Acting Chief Director of the Ministry, the applicants must also be registered members of the Medical And Dental Council and part of the 21st List compiled by the Council. 

“Qualified applicants are requested to formally apply on the Ministry of Health application portal by logging in onto https://hr.moh.gov.gh and follow the instructions to select the preferred agency under the Ministry“ it added cautioning that Friday, February 19, 2021, is the deadline. 

Currently, Ghana is ranked 14th in Sub Saharan Africa in terms of a number of patients to physician (medical doctor) ratio. 

The nation is however ranked 4th in the West African sub-region. According to a World Bank survey from 2015 and 2017, and still being used presently, the ratio is 1000 patients per doctor as at. April 11, 2020.
