National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has cast doubt over the credibility of the Economist and Intelligence Unit (EIU) prediction that the NDC will win the 2024 elections.
 
Rubbishing the research and analysis group, the NDC guru said they are 'not masters of politics' – hence, their predictions are questionable and "bogus". 

"EIU report or whatever, I have never had confidence in them . . . I don't believe that they actually would've said that, even if they did I don't believe that what they said is the truth," he ssaid.

"They got it wrong; did they not predict that Donald Trump would've won election convincingly  . . . did Donald Trump win? So it should tell you the EIU report is bogus," he added. 

 
The EIU, in its recent publication, predicted victory for the main opposition NDC in the 2024 elections in their recent report.
 
“The next parliamentary and presidential election are due in 2024, under the constitutionally mandated term limit, Mr Akufo-Addo cannot run for a third term. Mr Mahama is reportedly considering whether to run again, but we are expected the NDC to seek to revitalize its prospects with a fresh candidate.
 
“After two terms of NPP government, er expect the NDC to win 204 presidential elections and go again the as small majority in parliament,” the latest report of the firm stated.
 
But Akamba insisted that “Their report is inaccurate. The NDC is reorganizing and we haven’t gotten to where we will elect who leads the NDC in the next election.”

“They already know after eight years there will be a change of government so they are just predicting, but in four years the NPP lost. The NPP served for four years and lost but used state institution to steal the elections and maintained their hold on power,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.
