COVID-19 Vaccine: You Can Receive Second Dose From Outside Ghana But . . . - GHS Declares

Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Patrick Kuma Aboagye says it is possible for recipients of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to receive their second dose abroad.

According to him, nothing restricts a person from going for the second jab in a foreign country so far as the country is administering the same vaccine.

"Obviously, if they want to give it to you, they can always get it to you; get you vaccinated . . . you can have the second jab anywhere as long as it's available for you," he revealed in an interview on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo''.

To him, what he can't guarantee is someone going for a vaccine different from the AstraZeneca because there is not yet any established proof that one can mix the vaccines.
