A member of the Nana Konadu�s campaign team, Mr Michael Teye Nyaunu has said he is not surprised that phones of all members of the former First Lady�s campaign team are being tapped.
He said the cell phones of himself, Kofi Adams, and former MP for Bunkpurugu Yunyoo, Numburr Berrick have all been bugged.
By whom he won�t say except to ask rhetorically, �Who will be interested in tapping the phones of the Nana Konadu campaign team members?�
Mr Teye Nyaunu, who is the Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency, said he and his colleagues are convinced their phones are being bugged because of echoes and inexplicable noises that interfere consistently with the calls.
He rejected suggestions that the Konadu campaign team is simply trumping up unsubstantiated allegations in order to appear as the underdog in the governing NDC�s presidential primary and to win sympathy votes thereof.
Mrs Rawling�s team, he argued, was not interested in lying to the people.
�Whatever we try to bring into public is the truth; when we allege that some people have been given motorbikes and GH�4,000, it is true. It is not that we are just making false allegations, we are speaking nothing but the truth,� he asserted.
To substantiate his GH�4,000 and motorbike allegation, the Lower Manya MP claimed Youth Organisers of the party in the Eastern Region Tuesday held a press conference demanding their share of the motorbikes and GH�4,000.
