I Hope The New Sports Minister Is Not In Bed With The Crooked Hierarchy of The GFA – Ekow Asmah

Ace sports broadcaster and social commentator Ekow Asmah has admonished the new Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Mustapha Ussif to be circumspective in his dealings with the Ghana Football Association hierarchy.

His comments come in the wake of the announcement of the government’s initiative to generate funding for the Ghana senior national team for preparation and participation in the 2021 AFCON tournament as well as the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo meeting on Monday morning to announce his government’s plans to raise $25 million to support the Black Stars in their campaign.

The initiative was reportedly championed by the new sports minister in association with the Ghana FA President who was present at the event and named as a member of the team tasked to raise the money.


Meanwhile ace journalist Ekow Asmah has admonished the minister to be wary of his dealings with the Ghana President and his associates.

“I hope the new sports minister is not in bed with the crooked hierarchy of the GFA because they have demonstrated to everybody that they cannot the GFA President to do his job,” he said on The File on GTV Sports+.

The Black Stars will play at the 2022 AFCON in Cameroon as well as qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
