President Akufo-Addo's 2nd Term Looks Promising - Nana B

The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye has debunked the assertions of some Ghanaians including Professor Gyampo that the first 100 days of President Akufo-Addo's 2nd term don't look encouraging.

According to Nana B as affectionately called, the first 100 days of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is rather promising, taking into account the fact that the country is now recovering from the shock of the Covid-19 which has affected the entire world.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Nana B recounted that last year was a terrible period for the entire world with no exception to Ghana, making everything become standstill and bringing hardship to the nation.

He added that it was the exceptional leadership skills of President Akufo-Addo which made it possible for the country to conduct a peaceful election when many people including the opposition NDC thought it was not possible.

He maintained that the country is gradually coming out of the Covid-19 challenge as President Akufo-Addo is still forming his government for his 2nd term and the country is lucky to have the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines to protect the human resource of the country.

He, however, admitted that the health sector as well as the education, tourism and businesses, in general, are challenged but attributed it to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He asserted that President Akufo-Addo in the midst of this major setback has demonstrated his leadership quality in handling the Covid-19 in order not to overwhelm the health facilities and destroy the economy.

"The first 100 days of President Akufo-Addo's 2nd term look promising . . . I see a very good recovery from this Covid-19; I see that a lot of better things will happen in the country," he indicated.
