E/R Minister And Kokrokoo Charities Donate 4 Incubators To 2 Gov't Hospitals

The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, who is also a member of the Rotary International in collaboration with Kokrokoo Charities has supported two major hospitals in the region with incubators.

The donation of the equipment to the hospitals, which includes, the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua and the Kwahu Atibie Government Hospital was to help provide the needed healthcare to premature babies that may be delivered at these facilities in order to support their survival and reduce infant mortalities.

The donation of the four incubators to the two government hospitals was an initiative of the Eastern Regional Minister with support from Kokrokoo Charities.

At the official handing over of the equipment and also donation of some bags of rice to the Eastern Regional Hospital, the founder of the Kokrokoo Charities, Kwame Sefa Kayi spoke to UTV news about the Kokrokoo project.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong explained the rationale behind the move to join hands with Kokrokoo Charities to support the hospitals.

The Director of Clinical at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Dr. Amponsah Manu said the incubators have come at the right time when the hospital needs them urgently to help reduce significantly, mortality among babies and appealed to other organisations for more support.
