The Tertiary Education Students Confederacy of the NPP, TESCON University of Ghana Branch organized its handing over exercise for newly appointed executives for the association on Tuesday, 25th May, 2021.

The meeting was Chaired by Hon. Boakye Agyarko , a former Energy Minister and former Campaign Manager for the NPP.
The meeting also had a cross section of dignitaries who were present to encourage the students in their political quest.

Hon. Boakye Agyarko acknowledged the efforts of Tescon and the Youth wing for their support to the party since its inception.

In his opening remarks he expressed his love and attachment to the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency as the seat was held by His Late Brother, Emmanuel Kyeremateng of blessed memory . For which reason, he continue to do more for the party to retain power now and in the future.

He quizzed If people feel TESCON is fulfilling its role and do people feel that when they join TESCON they are being fulfilled.

The relevance of organization in building good governance was a point of emphasis

He made a fundamental point as to why the youth of this country must participate in politics. As the Bible says When the righteous people rule, the people rejoice but the Wicked rule the people suffers (Proverbs 29:2).

Also quoting an Aya for the Holy Quran Al-Baqara (2:201) Waminhum man yaqoolu rabbana atina fee alddunya hasanatan wafee alakhirati hasanatan waqina AAathaba alnnari
And there are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire! , With the good in this would being achieved from good governance.

Hon. Boakye Agyarko fashioned out a point where we can improve and develop TESCON members by EMBRACING them, TEACHING them, MENTORING them and GIVING THEM AN ACTIVE ROLE AND SAY in the political engagement of the day.

He recounted how as campaign manager in 2012 surrounded the then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo with young politicians like Dominic Nitiwul, Isaac Assiamah, Kobby Darko Mensah , Cathrine Ablema Afeku and others who were to project the need for the youth to be included and the vision of the NPP in that regard.

The meeting was graced by Hon. Nana Asafo Adjei Ayeh , National Youth Wing Administrator and Director of International Relations, NADMO, Salam Mustapha, Director of Programmes , Office of the Vice President, Dr. Owusu, Patron of TESCON and Snr Lecturer, Frank Asiedu Bekoe aka Protozoa , Miracle Aboagye , Ama Frimpomaa, Alhaj Issah Sawadogo- Constituency Secretary, Manuel Sawyerr- Patron of the Constituency, Abanga Yakubu Fuseini, Mr. Nuhu , Former Deputy Organizer etc .
