Founder and President of Eno Boakyewaa Foundation,Abena Kyei has led her group to donate dozens of their sanitary pads to Girls at Tema Basic School and Baatsona JHS to commemorate the World Menstrual Hygiene Day to educate the adolescent students on menstrual hygiene management, proper use and disposal of the used sanitary products.
This year's theme was “It’s time to invest in menstrual hygiene management now”
#MHD2021 .
According to the Founder and President of the Eno Boakyewaa Foundation, Abena Kyei 'stressed that most adolescents, especially females, go through many changes and needed critical attention from both parents, teachers and health officials.
Ms Abena Kyei urged the public to disregard the numerous myths and misconceptions people have against menstruation, saying, “menstruation is not a taboo, and without it, there would not be human existence”.

Photos that were taken during the donation exercise show that the gesture was much appreciated by both the staff and students at TMA Basic School and Baatsona JHS.

Although everyone put on a mask, careful observation reveals that the students were particularly excited, owing to the fact that they wouldn't need to spend a dime on pads for some time.
