‘Shut Up’ – Gospel Artiste, Bernard Amankwah Blasts Patience Nyarko Over GHAMRO vs Church Brouhaha

Gospel musician and Reverend Minister, Bernard Amankwah has slammed colleague singer, Patience Nyarko for kicking against the decision by the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) to collect monies from churches as royalties for right owners.

The Chief Executive Officer for GHAMRO, Abraham Adjetey had announced the outfit’s plan to let churches pay for the use of musical works belonging to right owners in Ghana when he spoke to Onua FM in an interview a few days ago.

Responding to the ‘Obi Nya ne Me’ hitmaker, Patience Nyarko vehemently condemned the idea and pointed out that gospel musicians do now own some of the songs they sing.

At this juncture, Bernard Nyarko slammed Patience Nyarko for her ignorance on the issue and told her to shut because she has zero knowledge about this area.

He said;

“For lack of knowledge my people perish. Patience Nyarko should have made enough money from her songs, everybody around her should have been happy.

If you lack knowledge, understanding about something, shut up and pray for the one who is pushing an agenda that will benefit you.”
