The campaign Coordinator for the Nana Konadu for President 2012, Namburr Berrick has discounted claims that the former First Lady, Nana Konadu is preaching vindictiveness and asserts that her government will remain at arm�s length with members of the opposition. Sounding very sure of victory in the July congress, Mr Berrick revealed that Mrs Rawlings� team will form an alliance with other members of the party for victory in the general election in 2012, hence her reason not to have named a national campaign team yet. Namburr Berrick was speaking in an interview with Xfm 95.1. He also revealed that a Konadu Rawlings government would not appoint people into office of position if they are not party people, adding, �I do not see why we belong to parties anyway�. �Nana Konadu knows she is going to win the Sunyani congress, and she has deliberately not named any national campaign team because we know that when we win that congress, we are going to bring them on board to form a national team for NDC to victory. We are not preaching vindictiveness and exclusiveness, obviously, we will not come to power and be appointing NPP, that one we stand by it, because, those who voted for us, we shall appoint them. �You belong to a party, because, you believe in it. So I can�t belong to a party and somebody who doesn�t belong to the party will get an appointment and I believing in the party will have no appointment. If that is vindictiveness, I�m sorry, because I don�t see why we belong to parties anyway�. Namburr Berrik also took a swipe at the National Executives of the party over their silence on a petition he sent to them on members of FONKAR being intimidated. According to him, the NDC�s General Secretary�s only response has been that the complaints are being looked into, and asked whether looking into it meant allowing people to besiege radio stations and attack others who are expressing dissenting views. When asked why he did not mention names of the intimidators to aid the executives in dealing with the matter, Mr Berrick retorted, �I wouldn�t need to mention names. The letter was clear English. I don�t think I have time to be listing down names. It is not my duty, I have identified that it is coming from Game, and I say GAME should not intimidate people. They should sit down and ask themselves who is doing this.�
