Mahama's 'Do Or Die' Comment Is Just To Revive His Supporters; There Will Never Be War! - Allotey Jacobs

Former NDC Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has scolded the NDC 2020 Presidential candidate, Ex-President John Dramani Mahama for saying the 2024 elections will be ''a do or die affair at the polling station''.

Speaking about the next elections in an interview on Akina Radio at Techiman, Mr. Mahama stated; “We learn from the past so we [NDC] have learned our lessons from the 2020 election. The next elections will be won or lost at the polling station.”

“If otherwise, it will be a do or die affair at the polling station. The right thing must be done. We will win our election at the polling station,” he exclaimed, adding ”we will do everything to make sure the election is transparent and fair. We don’t want to cheat them, so they shouldn’t. We won’t wait for any Supreme Court, no!”

In response to Mr. Mahama's comments, Allotey Jacobs says ''there will never be war in Ghana . . . we're a peaceful people. We live in a peaceful country''.

"I sincerely believe that what happened in 2020 will happen in 2024 and this country will move forward, and there will be no war. There will be no upheaval. There will be no chaos!'', he stressed.

To Allotey, the former President's comments are "just to revive the spirit of supporters''.

He made these submissions on the Wednesday edition of ''Kokrokoo'' on Peace FM.
