ASHSCOCOM 2021: Ahenkan FM Launches “High School Cooking Competition”
Akyem Aboabo based ODI MEDIA NETWORK which is made up of: AHENKAN 93.3 FM & AHENKANFMONLINE in the Birim Central Municipal of the Eastern region, on Friday 8th-Oct-2021 launched its maiden edition of Ahenkan senior high schools cooking competition ( ASHSCOCOM 2021) between some selected senior high schools within the Akyemansa, Kotoku and Bosome enclave to afford learning opportunities for the selected schools students to showcase their God’s given talents in cooking and skills in preparing Ghanaian made dishes.
Addressing the audience during the launch, CEO of Odi Media Network, Odi Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah made known the rational behind the initiative and rallied for massive support since it has come to stay.
He said, plans are far advanced to make competition happens every six months after the maiden edition.
The maiden edition of the show has been slated for Saturday 30th October 2021.
Eight schools that agreed to participate in this year’s edition are Akroso Senior High School, Atweaman SHS, Oda SHS , Attafuah SHS, Vision Vocational Technical Institute, Salvation Army SHS, Achiase SHS and Youth Leadership And Skills Training.
The winning school is said to go home with appeased prizes whilst souvenirs would be handed over to contestants
Participants who spoke to Ahenkan News after the lauched expressed gratitude to management and promised their commitment to make the first edition successful.
