Ghana head into the third and final round of the series where 10 nations will battle it out for five Qatar tickets in a play-off.

The Black Stars beat Bafana Bafana by a goal to nil at the Cape Coast stadium through captain Andre Ayew's penalty in the 33rd minute.

The Al Sadd playmaker converted a 33rd-minute penalty which ensured the four-time champions finished as leaders in Group G.

Ghana was tied on 13 points with the Bafana Bafana but advanced on goals scored.

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac made two changes to his starting team, leaving out Joseph Aidoo, whose mistake led to Ethiopia’s equaliser in Thursday’s 1-1 draw.

Ghana will play in a play-off in March next year to book one of the five slots allocated to Africa in football's biggest tournament.
