Gladson Awako Issues Apology To Hearts of Oak Fans, Confirms Readiness To Return To Club

Controversial Ghanaian midfielder Gladson Awako has pleaded with Hearts of Oak fans to forgive him for the period he has been playing dilly-dally with the club.

Awako, 30, hasn’t trained with the Phobians for several weeks despite signing a contract with the Phobians in August 2021.

Ghanasportsonline.com published the story of the midfielder’s decision to quit the Ghanaian double winners over claims of spiritual attacks.

Awako is currently managed under the consortium owned by former Asante Kotoko and Ghana midfielder Yussif Chibsah.

Meanwhile, Great Olympics have claimed the former TP Mazembe midfielder must return to the Wonder Club following Hearts of Oak’s failure to meet their financial obligation in the transfer agreement between the two clubs.

But, Awako has pleaded for patience and forgiveness from Hearts of Oak fans as he readies to return to the club.

“Now everything is sorted now. I’m ready to return to the club so I’m pleading with the fans to forgive me for whatever that happened,” he said in audio played on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.

Awako was registered by Hearts of Oak for their CAF interclub competition assignment but due to his outstanding issues, he failed to make an appearance in any of their three CAF Champions League games.
