CBG mobile banking service App *924# Get Digi With It has been adjudged the Outstanding FIN INNOVATIVE DIGITAL BANKING PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2021.

Some 38 tech industry captains, business leaders and organizations received honors at the maiden FIN Cashless Awards in Ghana.

The award organized by the Africa Cashless Payment Systems is the 2nd in Africa but first in Ghana was held at the plush Movenpick Hotel in Accra.

CBG’s, mobile banking service App *924# Get Digi With It was selected ahead of many in recognition of the robustness and reliability of the service to both customers and non-customers of the bank.

The event under the theme: Building A Cashless Africa, climaxed the maiden African Cashless Payments Systems (ACPS) Conference in Ghana, where several industry players discussed how to use digitalization and cashless payments to drive intra-continental trade within the context of the AfCFTA (Africa Continental Free Trade Area). The awardees comprised of 21 personalities and 19 organizations from mainly Ghana and Nigeria.

The Foreign Investment Network (FIN) which took control of the event, says it intends to facilitate the creation of seamless bridges between the cashless platforms across the African continent in order to leapfrog the hurdles in the way of trade on the continent.
                            
Emmanuel Nikoi, Director of Retail and Business Banking together with other colleagues who received the award ‘OUTSTANDING FIN INNOVATIVE DIGITAL BANKING PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 202” expressed gratitude to the Board and Management of CBG  “ Our mandate as a bank has been to make sure we see to the growth of SMEs, and to do that effectively, we want to serve them in comfort. Rolling out this product (*924#) is to make sure we achieve just that, thank you”.

The CBG entourage was led by Daniel Addo-CEO/ Managing Director, Thairu Ndungu- Deputy Managing Director, other Directors, and senior management members.
