The logo for the 13th African Games, dubbed Accra 2023, was officially launched on Thursday in Ghana’s capital Accra.
The logo is one of the key brands and identities of the African Games and by extension, the corporate identity of the Local Organising Committee and the African Union. And, also becomes the main marketing tool for organising and hosting the African Games.
The logo was designed by Tracey Ampa-Oppong, then 21, a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
As the host country, Ghana was mandated to design the logo to portray the spirit of the games.
