Delegates Cry For Alan At The NPP Annual Delegates Conference

Although Hon Alan Kyerematen, the Minister of Trade and Industry, was unable to attend the 2021 National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held in the Ashanti region, Kumasi, on Sunday, 19th December 2021, the majority of the delegates present at the conference were looking forward eagerly to receive him at the conference.

Responses from delegates who were interviewed indicated quite clearly that Alan Cash was the one the delegates had hoped would have been the toast of the event.

This clearly shows his popularity and the sentiments of the delegates were not difficult to understand. Their show of love and affection for the family was simply infectious even in his absence.

As the party governizes itself in preparation for the most difficult election in its history, it is the dominant feeling among members that the NPP will require charisma and the phlegmatic lure of the personality of Alan Kyerematen to win the hearts of not only NPP members but the Ghanaian electorates in general.

It is those same characteristics of a strong grassroots appeal that catapulted former leaders like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and H.E JJ Rawlings to have such a deep penetrating influence in Ghanaian politics at different periods of our history.

It is an established fact in politics, not only in Ghana but the world over that leaders who have charisma are able to mobilize people around a common vision and for a country.

In view of the above, the most important task for NPP is to canvass for somebody like ALAN to become the next NPP Flagbearer if the party is serious about breaking the 8.
