Slain Immigration Officer: ‘Big English Don’t Bring Back Lives’ – Wa MP Fires GIS Leadership

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Wa West, Mr Peter Lanchene Toobu says the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) must be proactive to ensure its officers are protected in their line of duty.

He claimed the service is not doing much for its officers on the country’s various borders – leaving their fate to themselves while protecting the country.

His comment comes after a statement from the Ghana Immigration Service appealing to persons who can provide information leading to the arrest of the murderers of one of its officers, AICO I Michael Otu.

The Immigration Officer was shot dead at Kokoligu, a village between Nandom and Hamile in the Upper West Region.
