Don't Just Give Us Words; Give Us Real Solutions To Our Sufferings - Opanyin Agyekum To Bawumia

Head of the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana, Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly called Opanyin Agyekum, is calling on the Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to bring hope to Ghanaians as he readies to speak on the economy today.

The Vice President, who is the Head of the Economic Management Team, will be making the presentation on the economy as the main speaker at a National Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) Training and Orientation Conference - a gathering of tertiary students of the students' wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), at Kasoa in the Central region.

The event is under the auspices of the NPP Youth Wing in collaboration with the Danquah Institute, a policy Think-Tank.

Dr Bawumia has been at the forefront of Ghana’s digitalisation agenda.

As Dr. Bawumia preps to deliver his speech, people are already expectant of what he has to say to Ghanaians.

Speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', Opanyin Agyekum asked the Veep to tell Ghanaians what the government will be doing to assuage their hardships and not just be speaking the language of an economist with all the economic jargons.

He paraphrastically stated that ''saying the GDP is this or that and so forth doesn't concern the ordinary Ghanaian as for him or her, his/her interest is in what you are going to do to reduce the high prices and make their living conditions better''.

He implored Dr. Bawumia to offer real lasting solutions to the economic challenges Ghanaians are facing but not give them mere words.
