Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has reportedly described marriage as a scam following his recent breakup with his girlfriend, Elfreda.

"Look for money and forget marriage for now; when you 60 you can marry cuz many married men dey go thru hell but can’t talk. It’s like a death trap…it has killed so many men but not me” he wrote in a snapchat post.

“Careful when woman say she love you. Most of them are liars and faultfinders to delay your precious time to go for the bags” he added.

However, Counsellor Charlotte Oduro disagrees.

Speaking as a panelist on UTV's United Showbiz, she questioned: "why is marriage a scam? Marriage is not a scam...we saw how they were kissing here and there but that is not marriage. Marriage is not about buying cars or flowers; it's deeper than that...it's more than the sex"
