Let’s Prove That NPP Still Remains The Only Option That Can Better The Lots Of Ghanaians – Kate Gyamfua To Delegates

The National Women Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfua, has asked the party’s delegates to use the ongoing constituency congresses as platforms to show “the world that the NPP still remains the only option that can better the lots of Ghanaians.”

According to Ms Gyamfua, the actions of the party in the next few days will prove whether it is one that Ghanaians could still rely on or look elsewhere for a ‘non-existent’ alternative.

This was contained in a statement wishing the party successful constituency delegates congresses, which commenced nationwide yesterday, and expected to end by May 2.

She called for “absolute unity across the rank and file of the party”, and prayed for “successful congresses across the country.”

Competence
Ms Gyamfua further urged the delegates to first take into consideration the competencies of the candidates aspiring for the various positions before voting for them. Additionally, she urged the delegates to consider “humility, affability, respect for party members, hard work” as some of the core factors to consider in their voting choices.

“I specially wish all women aspirants the best of luck,” she added.
Constituency congress

The NPP began nationwide constituency congresses yesterday to elect new constituency officers. The party had set April 28 to May 2, 2022 for the exercise.

A statement released by the party’s General Secretary, John Boadu, early this week noted that it was the responsibility of the duly constituted Constituency Elections Committee to determine an appropriate day within the given period to conduct the congress, and hold the elections under the supervision of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, in accordance with the party's rules and regulations.
