'He Is One Of The Best Strikers I've Seen In My Life' - Senegal's El Hadji Diouf Praises Asamoah Gyan

Former Senegal and Liverpool striker El Hadji Diouf has heaped praises on Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan as one of the best strikers in his lifetime.

Diouf attended the book launch of Asamoah Gyan on Friday hosted at the Kempenski Hotel here in Accra.

The former West Brom forward described Asamoah Gyan as one of the best finishers on the African continent.

“I have known many people for long as friends but Gyan is my brother. He is one of the best strikers I have seen in my life, he’s a legend and that’s why I came to support his book launch,” he said, as quoted by 442gh.

Asamoah Gyan played in three World Cups from 2006-2o14 scoring six goals to set the record as African with the most goals the global tournament.

Gyan also holds the record as the all-time leading top scorer of the Black Stars.

The 36-year-old has had stints in England, France, Italy, Turkey, China, UAE, India, and recently played for Ghanaian side Legon Cities.

Senegal legend El Hadji Diouf has urged the Ghana Football Association to integrate Asamoah Gyan to the Black Stars technical team.

"The FA needs people like him around the boys to win trophies, You need a player who has scored all these goals for the national team to talk to the boys, if he is in Qatar I will invite him to come and talk to our boys."
