Kennedy Agyapong And Ernest Ofori Sarpong Each Paid GHC 100k For Asamoah Gyan's Book

Ghana's legendary striker Asamoah Gyan held a star-studded event on Saturday night to launch his book 'LeGyandary,' which details his life and illustrious football career.

President Nana Akufo-Addo, Members of Parliament, Ministers, Diplomats, business leaders, a number of the country's former and current footballers, and fans of the former Black Stars captain attended the launch, which took place at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

The president who officially launched the book was given a copy, paving the way for bidders to place their bids and purchase one of the first 50 copies sold at the event.

The following is a list of people who purchased the first five copies auctioned off.

Ernest Ofori Sarpong

The first buyer was the CEO of Special Group of Companies and the Chairman of the book launch, who paid GHC100,000 for the first auctioned copy.

Kennedy Agyapong

The member of Parliament for Assin Central also bid GH100,000 for the second copy.

Freedom Jacob Ceaser

The Ghanaian business magnate also made a GH50,000 bid for the third copy.

Tony Oteng Gyasi

The former Minister of Tourism was the fourth person to pay GH20,000 for the fourth auctioned copy.

Nana Afua Krobea Asante

The CEO of Azmera restaurant bought was the fifth person to purchase the sixth copy for GHC20,000

Other prominent people who bought the book on the night include Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku (GH¢50,000), Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen (GH¢10,000), CEO of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Aponsah (GH¢ 10,000) and a host of others.
