President of relegated King Faisal Alhaji Karim Gruzah has apologized to the club�s fans for their inability to beat the drop on the final day of the Glo Premier League on Sunday.
The Kumasi-based side are returning to the second-tier after 15 years in the top flight following a 1-2 defeat to Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Gruzah has ruled out going to court to retain their Premier League status. �We thank everyone who helped and prayed for us. That is football. Sometimes you go down and sometimes up. Now we have been relegated. I�m apologizing to the fans for our inability to remain in the premier league,� Gruzah told Accra-based Peace FM.
�We will fight and return to the premier league. I want to state clearly that King Faisal will not go to court and challenge anyone. We have been relegated and that�s all.�
King Faisal which managed 39 points are set to be relegated alongside Real Tamale United and BA Stars when the Ghana FA releases the final league table.
