There's 'Nothing to Talk About' in France's Ligue 1 Since I Left - Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that there is 'nothing to talk about' in Ligue 1 since he left France's top division.

The AC Milan forward played in France between 2012 and 2016 for current champions PSG, winning four consecutive league titles before he departed for Manchester United.

Speaking to Canal+, the 41-year-old insisted 'everything is going down' in the league because of his departure, despite the division boasting some of the best players in world football.

'France needs me, I don't need France. Even if you have Mbappe, Neymar, Messi, it doesn't help you, because you don't have God.'

The Sweden star has been renown throughout his career for his confidence towards his own abilities, regularly referring to himself as 'God' as he has enjoyed relative success wherever he has played.

He's shone in Italy, Spain and England as well as France - where he scored 149 goals in 165 games for Les Parisiens - and is now winding down his career with Milan, currently out injured after tearing his ACL last season.
