NDC Delegates Congress: I'm Sad My Pentecost Church Elder Lost - Prof. Osafo Consoles Ofosu Ampofo

Senior Psychologist, Professor Joseph Osafo has shared his sentiments over the defeat of Samuel Ofosu Ampofo in the NDC National Delegates Congress that came off over the weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.

At the end of grueling contest which saw over 9,000 delegates exercise their franchise to elect new leaders to steer the affairs of the party, National Chairman aspirant Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah beat his closest challenger, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo, by a landslide victory.

He polled 5569 votes representing 65.17% of total votes cast while Ofosu Ampofo garnered 2392 ballots representing 33.81%.

Contributing to "Kokrokoo" show on Peace FM Monday morning, Prof. Joseph Osafo was saddened that Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, who is a leader and member of the Pentecost Church, wasn't re-elected.

"I'm sad that my elder has lost . . . he has served the NDC very well, so mosquito shouldn't have bitten him like that," he said.

He, however, urged Mr. Ofosu Ampofo to assist Asiedu Nketia to lead the party as their new National Chairman.
