Shyy, a hiplife musician and a member of the famous "Nkasei" music group, is still haunted by threats over their infamous song "Tuabodom" that nearly ended their career years ago.

"Tuabodom" was one of the popular and most trending songs in the early 2000s but the song stoked fire as the people of a Bono East town in Ghana that the song was named after intensely unleashed their anger on the music duo.

The people of Tuabodom felt disrespected and insulted by the music lyrics.

What even infuriated them more was a portion of the song that Nkasei satirically blundered by calling "Jinijini", an independent traditional community, the capital of Tuabodom.

Reminiscing about the controversies that surrounded the Tuabodom hit single, a song that was done in the Bono language, Shyy, in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM's drive time "Ekwanso Dwoodwoo"; disclosed that the song affected them so bad that it resulted in their separation.

The musicians also nearly ended up in a legal tussle following incessant calls by the residents in Tuabodom to obliterate the song.

"We have regretted and secondly, on the other side, it has helped us a lot in some way. I think it was one of the songs or albums that generated huge money for us compared to the previous ones. Our regret was the negativity that the song that caused as it hurt the residents in Bono Ahafo or Tuabodom and due to that, they banned the song", he told Abeiku Santana.

Nothing is being heard of the song nor a performance by the music duo after 18 years of composing it as they have both plied a different trade abroad.

During the interview on Abeiku's show, Shyy was asked to perform the song but the musician rejected the offer in fear of reviving the long gone beef between them and the Bono people.

He refused to perform the song on the show and further apologized on behalf of the group.

"I rather apologize...", he replied.
