Kojo Bonsu Has Prepared Himself As a Major Force for the NDC In Future - Bernard Mornah

A former PNC National Chairman, Bernard Mornah has congratulated former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu, for his courage to contest the Presidential elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The NDC held its Presidential and Parliamentary primaries over the weekend across the various constituencies in the country, electing their flagbearer and Parliamentary aspirants for the 2024 elections.

Sixteen (16) sitting Members of Parliament of the party lost their seats.

The party delegates elected former President John Dramani Mahama as their flagbearer with him polling an overwhelming 297603 votes representing 98.9% of the total valid votes cast at the end of the NDC primaries on Saturday to win in a landslide.

His closest contender, Mr. Kojo Bonsu polled a paltry 3181 representing 1.1%.

Despite Mr. Kojo Bonsu's defeat in the primaries, Bernard Mornah believes the former Kumasi Mayor will become a major force in the NDC.

He stated, "in my opinion, he has demonstrated maturity throughout the process of the campaigns and despite the outcome or the eventual outcome, in my opinion, he has prepared himself as a major force for the NDC going into the future".

He further commended Kojo Bonsu asserting "if God is with him, the NDC will look for him because he demonstrated more than maturity and conduct throughout this exercise".

Mr. Mornah made these comments on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show.
