South African Singer Thabsie Hints On Soulful Album After 3 Years Break From Music

South African R&B vocalist and Socialite Bathabise Biyela, professionally known as Thabsie has excited fans with news of her comeback into active music after taking a long break from recording.

The vocal powerhouse hinted that her return to the music scene comes with an already completed album which she will be releasing later this year.

Thabsie told the press in Dubai that she needed the long break to reflect on her career and also explore other avenues such as content creation and brand partnerships.

“Taking a much-needed break from releasing music has been extremely beneficial for me. Sometimes you need to take a step back and reflect to move forward even better. I’ve been able to take a beat to expand on my offering as a creative and expand my brand to now being a content creator, brand partner and influencer,” She said. Adding that “I have also been working on my new album which I’m really excited to release this year.”

When asked how she felt about being named as a brand ambassador for Dubai Tourism, she said “First off, I want to say I’m honoured that they found me worthy to work closely with them. The feeling is mutual. Dubai Tourism and I have partnered together to shine a light on Africans exploring a luxurious yet affordable vacation in Dubai. It’s a conversation that Dubai wants to continue having with Africans and South Africans in particular and I’m happy to be a facilitator in having such a discussion.”

Thabsie will be using her influence and celebrity status to promote the goodness of Dubai as the perfect holiday destination for South Africans, an experience she describes as ‘once in a lifetime’.

“Usually we hear about destinations from word of mouth and a variety of sources. My role in the campaign is the purpose because as a selected Ambassador for Dubai tourism here in Africa, Dubai wants South Africa to hear from their fellow South Africans. Not just highlighting and showcasing what Dubai has to offer, but what it has to offer South Africans.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing my fellow Africans being exposed to and experiencing all that Dubai has to offer. My role is to bring the story of Dubai to them from A to Z, but it’s for them to go and see it for themselves.”
