Soon Ghanaians Won't See The Difference Between Indigenous And Foreign Banks - Prudential Bank MD

Prudential Bank Ghana Ltd is determined to give multinational banks stiff competition as it introduces digital products and services at cheaper rates.

Even though the perception out there is that indigenous banks are not up to standard, the Managing Director of Prudential Bank Ghana Ltd, Bernard Kofi Appiah Gyebi popularly known as Accra’s Benzo is optimistic soon "you'll not know the difference between local and multinational banks."

Speaking in a one-on-one interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', the newly appointed Managing Director said Prudential Bank is headed for greater things.

"People often see local banks as having inferior quality but my aim is to make Prudential Bank a more efficient and profitable one with great customer care. We want to deliver the services offered by the multinational banks. We want to be a modern, effective and efficient bank that serves its customers very very well so that people will not even see the difference between the indigenous and the multinational banks," he averred.

Meanwhile, he has assured customers they have "nothing to worry about" and that their "monies are safe with Prudential Bank."

"We’ve overcome what we went through in 2017-2018, as far as the banking sector clean-up is concerned and we’ve met the Bank of Ghana requirements. You have nothing to worry about. Prudential Bank is in good standing and we are ready to serve everyone. Our doors are open and we understand our customers," he added.
