Ejisuman, Yaa Asantewaa Spirit Behind You - Ejisumanhene Endorses Alan Kyerematen's Candidature

In an massive show of support, the Omanhene of Ejisu Traditional Area, Oguakro Afrane Okese II, on Monday, threw his weight behind the candidature of Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen in the race for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking during a courtesy call on him at his palace in Ejisu at the start of his constituency campaign tour of the Ashanti region, Monday, the Nana Afranie OKesse II, referred to Hon Kyerematen as his 'beloved son of the land', and assured him of the unflinching support of him and his family.

The Omanhene also invoked the spirit of the legendary female warrior, Yaa Asantewaa, the late brave queen mother of Ejisu, to support the the bid of Hon Kyerematen who is a son of the land.

"He is my son and the gods and spirit of the legendary Yaa Asantewaa are behind you", Ejisumanhene told Alan Kyerematen.

The late Yaa Asantewaa, the female warrior and queenmother of Ejisu, is revered for her bravery in standing up to British invasion of the Ashanti Kingdom 1901.
Invoking her spirit in support of the choice of the man popularly called Alan Cash, is a massive boost to him and an encouragement to forge ahead with determined vigour for victory.

Hon. Kyerematen's visit to Ejisu is a significant return to his roots, as the chief's palace was overflowing with people eager to catch a glimpse of him admist cultural drumming and dancing.

Earlier, the Ejisu township was set agog as throngs of people swarmed the streets with shouts of 'aduro wo su', 'yedie nie', in show of appreciation and support for Hon Kyerematen as he walked through to interact with them.

As has been his style, Hon Kyerematen will hold cluster meetings with executives of all 47 constituencies in the Ashanti region between Monday, 7th August and Saturday, 12th August, when he ends his tour of the region

The NPP holds its super delegates conference on Saturday, 26th August to sieve to five the 10 contesting delegates, for the major showdown on 4th November when the about 300,000 delegates of the party meet to choose their flagbearer for the party for the 2024 elections.

Hon Kyerematen, is tipped by many to win both the NPP primaries and the 2024 presidential elections.
