JB Danquah Murder: Second Accused Acquitted And Discharged By High Court

Vincent Bossu, the second accused person who is standing trial together with Daniel Asiedu has been acquitted and discharged by an Accra High court.

This was after the presiding Judge, Justice Lydia Osei Marfo ruled the Prosecution had failed to make any case against him.

Bossu and Asiedu have been charged together for conspiracy to rob and have pleaded not guilty.

The decision of the judge Justice Lydia Osei Marfo was after the prosecution had closed its case and Lawyer Yaw Dankwah prayed for his acquittal.

ASP Augustus Nkrumah, the investigator was the 8th and last Prosecution witness in the case.

Daniel Asiedu, Alias Sexy Don Don has been ordered to open his defence to murder and robbery after the court held that prosecution has established a prima facie against him.

Lawyer Yaw Dankwah while praying the court to acquit and discharge his client noted that, despite his client being remanded in prison for 8 years the Prosecution has failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that his client indeed committed the crime.

Meanwhile, the court has also ordered Daniel Asiedu, the main accused to open his defence at the next adjourned date which is April 22.

The court noted that, the Prosecution succeeded in providing enough evidence against him.

He has been ordered to file his witness statement and any other persons he wishes to call as witnesses.

Daniel Asiedu known as Sexy Dondon is standing trial for the robbery and murder of the former Abuakwa North MP Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu in 2016.

An emotional mother of Vincent, Madam Juliet said the allegations against his son have caused her a lot including the collapse of her marriage but she is happy her son has been vindicated.

Lawyer Yaw Dankwah told Journalists that, the Prosecution it was evident from the beginning that, the Prosecution had no case against Vincent.
