There's No Confirmation That Dr. Bawumia Will Announce His Running Mate Next Month - Gideon Boako
Spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Gideon Boako, has debunked claims that the Vice President will declare his running mate in the month of April.
The NPP flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, is yet to announce who will partner him in the December presidential polls.
However, names such as Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Energy Minister; Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff; and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Education Minister, among others, have been mentioned for consideration for the running mate slot.
According to sources, the Vice President will unveil his running mate next month, but Dr. Gideon Boako says this information is inaccurate.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Dr. Boako stated emphatically that "there is no confirmation that the Vice President will announce his running mate in April... officially, there is no communication to that effect."
He also disclosed that Dr. Bawumia hasn't presented any names to the National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party, stressing that "with the aforementioned, the Vice President hasn't submitted any names to anyone."
