Matthew Opoku Prempeh Joins Grandfather, the Asantehene, To Ga State Durbar
Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh on Sunday 9th June, 2024 joined his grandfather, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to the durbar of the Ga State in honour of His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The event follows the Ga Mantse’s recent participation in the 25th anniversary celebration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ascension to the golden stool as well as his 74th birthday celebration.
The reciprocal visit is a testament of the strong bond of affection between the two traditional rulers.
The Energy Minister, who had earlier on Friday June 7, 2024 paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, reiterated the need for enhanced cordial relations among Ghanaian ethnic groups which, to him, forms the foundation for progress and development in the country.
The Asantehene pledged GH₵500,000 as seed money to establish an Education Endowment Fund for the Ga State.
