I'll Gift 'Liar' Ablakwa My Trassaco House and Hotel In Akosombo If His Tax Evasion Claims Are True - Bryan Dares MP

The owner of Rock City Hotel, Bryan Acheampong has stated emphatically that his famous luxurious hotel is not making losses as claimed by the NDC member of Parliament for North Tongu.

NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and the National Communication Director of his party, Sammy Gyamfi had suggested that the Kwahu-based hotel is not making a profit per a document they have intercepted.

But Mr Bryan Acheampong who serves as the Minister for Food and Agriculture told Media General journalist, Nana Yaa Brefo that the allegations are untrue after describing the duo as ‘liars’.

He, however, challenged Mr Ablakwa who claimed to have a document of his claims to make it public.

“Rock City is not making losses. There is no one anywhere who can say that Rock City is making losses. I saw Okudzeto and Sammy Gyamfi in the studio making noise. Okudzeto was in smock exaggerating that Rock City is making losses and that he has intercepted documents from GRA.”

“He has not intercepted any documents. All he is saying are lies. There is nothing truthful about what Okudzeto said concerning that matter. In the first place, Rock City has informed me, and I have checked with the GRA that they have not even filed their 2023 taxes yet.

“So, they have not filed yet. Rock City has not even gone to GRA, they plan to file at the end of the month. So where did he get the document from? What he is saying is fabricated and a lie.

“Rock City has not even filed its 2023 taxes. It is due by the end of June. So where did he get it from? Today I am daring him,” Mr Bryan Acheampong said.

According to him he has a house at Trassaco he bought in 2014 which he doesn't use, and a hotel in his constituency, Akosombo Intercontinental Hotel which he will gift to the NDC member of Parliament if all his allegations are true.

"He should prove it and I will gift it to him or any orphanage of his choice," he dared Okudzeto Ablakwa.
