Global Media Alliance Staff Sherilyn Reindorf-Partey To Represent Ghana

Staff Of Global Media Alliance Is The First West-African Woman to Participate In The 1st Annual Gulf Research Meeting At Cambridge University Accra, 5th July 2011: Sherilyn Reindorf-Partey, a Public Relations Executive at Global Media Alliance will be the first West-African woman to participate in the 2nd Annual Gulf Research Meeting (GRM 2011) to be held at Cambridge University- UK. The event, scheduled for 6th to 9th July 2011, aims to provide an academic environment to foster Gulf studies and promote scholarly and academic exchange among scholars. The event will feature development scholars, government officials and stakeholders who are interested in matters pertaining to the Gulf region. Ms. Reindorf-Partey will present a paper entitled �The development of Women owned businesses as an alternative to filling labour needs in the gulf region. How can frameworks be modified and/or put in place to achieve this goal?� on behalf of the company. The paper advocates solutions for enhancing confidence, motivation, and the empowerment of aspiring female entrepreneurs in the Gulf Region by the introduction of country specific business development initiatives. While the paper acknowledges that changes in gender related regulations and employment policies are imperative to support the development process in the region, it advocates for a framework that will foster institutional and national level interventions. Sherilyn would be presenting her paper alongside other women from other countries such as Beverly Dawn Metcalfe, University of Manchester, Lulwa Mutlaq of Bahrain University and Chairwoman of Bahrain Business Women�s Society, Wanda Krause from the Qatar foundation, Dalia Abdelhardy, Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Lund University, Sweden and many others.
