It Will Be Difficult For NDC To Retain Power In 2012 Ben Ephson

Pollster and editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Emmanuel Ben Ephson says it will be difficult for the NDC to retain power in the 2012 elections if ex-president Rawlings does not campaign for them. He was commenting on Rawlings statement in an interview with the BBC where he said that the NDC will pay for voting against his wife in the partys recent congress at Sunyani. Speaking on Asempa FM, Ben Ephson said the ex-presidents comments only confirm his knowledge of Nana Konadus low popularity among party faithful ahead of the Sunyani congress. He said it was possible that the Rawlingses were misled into the flagbearership contest. According to Mr. Ephson, the situation is dicey for the ruling NDC. He hinted that if the ex-president and founder of the party is not going to campaign for the NDC then it only means the party must work harder. He however noted that Rawlings decision could eventually be a blessing in disguise for the NDC ahead of the 2012 general elections.
