NDC Should Point Out Just One Completed Project In Volta Region - NPP

The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Volta Region, Ken Wood Nuworsu has debunked claims by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the region has seen massive and unprecedented developmental projects since the Mills-Mahama administration assumed the reins of leadership. He has therefore challenged the NDC to name all the completed projects they (NDC) initiated. They should point out one project they have done in the Volta Regionmost of the projects in the region are those the NPP started and didnt complete. Even that they have not completed nor started with any of them. If the project is not ready to be completed why should you go on and cut the sod. The previous government started the Eastern Corridor Road and when the NDC came not a single kilometer has been added to the road. We are getting impatient with this kind of propaganda. Nothing in the way of development is happening in the Volta Region. Seeing is believing; I challenge the NDC government to publish the list of schools removed under trees in the Volta region and we will praise them for it, he said in an interview with CitiFM. However, Alfred Woyomi, a leading member of the NDC and a philanthropist, sees the comment from Ken Wood Nuworsu as laughable. To him, there are lots of developments that have occurred in the Volta Region. Come and see the sub structure and other things that is being done by the government, four unit classroom block, and many morehe is talking like he is new in the country, he said. It would be recalled that last week, a group of disgruntled NDC members calling themselves the NDC Youth For Action, directed their anger against the party, most especially the Regional Minister, Joseph Amenorwode and the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Kodobisah who they described as incompetent when they went on a demonstration. But the Volta Regional Minister dismissed the comments and challenged the credibility of the group. According to him, the NDC as a party does not recognize any such group, called the Youth for Action in the region, adding that their claims and accusations smacks of ignorant minds on governance issues. A minister does not construct roads; a regional does not build university. The regional prosecutes the agenda of government, he explained. According to him, the region has about 200 development projects including the completion of Akatsi-Vedze road and many others. Meanwhile, President Mills has appealed to citizens of the Volta Region to exercise patience and allow the government to systematically implement its national development agenda.
