President John Evans Atta Mills must be doing well financially these days! Just two and a half years into his administration, he is in the process of completing a beautiful new mansion at Asanfra Street on the Platinum section of the Regimanuel Grey Estates on the Spintex Road! The building, which is believed to have several rooms and the latest of comforts, is currently nearing completion. Daily Searchlight scouts can reveal that the piece of land on which the new building is springing up was previously a bare piece of land behind the Asanfra Street residence of the President. Indeed it was on this piece of land that the security men sent to guard the President house were camping because they were not welcomed into the residence itself. However, a few months back the wall at the back of the President�s residence was extended round the bare plot, and the new building started spring up. So far, the walls round the residence have been raised higher and fortified, and behind it the building is rising rapidly. Previously it had been assumed that the new edifice was going to house the security men guarding the president, but the magnitude and beauty of the new structure has put paid to any such suggestions. Daily Searchlight scouts have been told that the new building has gone up very rapidly within the past few months, with many wondering at the extreme funds that is suddenly available to our humble president, who have stated publicly that he cares so much for Ghanaians that he is not going to receive his per diem.
