NPP Has A Chronic Inability To Proffer Policy Alternatives Felix Kwakye Ofosu

An out spoken member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Felix Ofosu Kwakye, says the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) must thank their stars that issues dominating the headlines recently have been limited to the character of personalities and not based on matters of national development. In a rather brusque manner, a self-confident Kwakye Ofosu stated that when it comes to debating topical issues, the NDC will decimate the NPPS campaign strategy. He accused the NPP of adopting insulting strategies because of their chronic inability to proffer policy alternatives. When it comes to development, we will decimate your campaign in that when we say what we have done, you will remain silent. We decimated your record in 2008 when you asked for it, and your record about developments was an eyesore, he said. Contributing to discussions on Asempa FM, he posited that there were no significant developments in the country under the watch of ex-president Kufuor. You (NPP) were in office for eight years and you built no polytechnics or universities. For us the NDC, we constructed two universities let me give you a source, check from the NPPs manifestothey (NPP) admitted that when they came to power, there were only ten universities and when they were leaving the number was still the same, he said. Sounding very derisive, the Oil & Gas Analyst said the NPP instead of stating the specific developmental projects undertaken during their term in office, they rather showed Ghanaians monkeys, Aboakyer festival and Akwasi Dae as their achievements. He urged the NPP to rather concentrate on bridging the huge gulf which has stalled them from coming out with policy alternatives.
